It may sound strange, but a few years ago my nephew, who loves anything having to do with Orange County Choppers, gave me an OCC after-shave called ';Full Throttle'; as a Christmas gift.


Not very chic or expensive, but it smelled nice.


And someone whose opinion matters greatly to me really loved it on me.


For that reason alone, it became my favorite.


The sad part is that they don't make it anymore.

Yes They are called refillable perfume anamizer pump sprayer. They look like a tube of lipstick you take the top off and you'll see a little spray button to fill just hold on to the button and pull out it is attached to a little glass bottle just unscew the spray button and put in your perfume,they are nice I've got to of them one is a red case and one is a gold case I remember buying one at Walgreen's store and the other at JC Penney's.

I know I should have remembered the name of this perfume the girl I was with tried on as we walked through macys, but figuring I could walk back to the same counter another day and buy it was my mistake. They moved it and no one there knew what it could be. I am almost certain it was a black bottle and it was not flat on the front,but on a diaganol still with four sides. It had a sweet yet subtle scent. The one they tried to sell me the day I went back was addict by dior. that bottle had the same shape, but it was blue and did not seem as wide as the one the girl I was with tried that day. My friend had this bottle of perfume and I didn't get to ask her what kind it was, but it was pink liquid and in a pretty big circular or oval shaped clear bottle with a clear top and it had silver cursive writing on it I believe. Not all the scents are religiously inspired, there are also ones from Good Omens, Stardust and others that go to charity, as well as some from HP Lovecraft fiction.





So, would you wear a perfume, if you liked the scent if it was inspired by something from a different religion, or something evil from your own?

Et ceteraWould you wear a perfume with a name that was against your religion? Or inspired by the mythos of your faith?
The name doesn't matter to me, it's the fragrance that I care about.


I used to wear an essential ritual oil called, ';Dragon's Blood'; because it was a mixture of Patchouli and Musk, my mood has changed a bit, I now wear, ';Samsara';.


Back in the 60s, I wore a special perfumed oil called ';Blood of Christ';, it was an exotic blend of myrrh, sandalwood and bergemot and very unusual. It was made by a specialty shop in Point Richmond, CA. They went out of business in the 70s, but they had some awesome fragrances and many were special blends.


My best friend wears a new exotic fragrance called, ';Spawn of Avarice';, on her it smells great; however, it smells like wet dog on me. It is one of those new fragrances that is designed to smell different because of your body chemistry.Would you wear a perfume with a name that was against your religion? Or inspired by the mythos of your faith?
That is a good question as one of my favourite scents is by Christian Dior - and I am wiccan!


But it is a nice sophiticated perfume that seems to go with my body chemistry.





If I liked the smell of a certain perfume/cologne it would make no difference to me if it was called Holy Trinity Lemon Splot!
Being a man I do not wear perfume but I do not see how it it wrong if you are not doing anything wrong. Its just a label. Sure if the proceeds are going to something bad, but if not then I say why not if you like it.
I wear Heavenly, from the Angels line, and Love Spell, from the Secret Garden line, both by Victoria's Secret. Either way, they both smell very nice, and I love the soaps, (expensive though they are.)

I dont wear purfume, deoderant is enough. BUT if I did, I would wear whatever smelled good on me. A name is just a name. It would not change my beliefs or future by wearing something called by a name I didnt believe.
I think you worry too much about things that don't matter.
Of course I would...in fact I think it is rather neat and would be sure to advertise the name.
I love their scents! I can get around a label on a bottle of perfume. I do think twice about those little fish symbols in adverts. Given the choice between two plumbers - one with the fish, one without. I'll call the one without first.





My feeling is that anyone who has to advertise their religion through their business or using their religion to imply that they're honest just because of the religion, I'm not buying.
Answer: I have worn scents before that were inspired by the Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet and the Voodoo Lwa Maman Brigitte. I would not be offended at either purfumes inspired by other religions.





And just to clear things up Eris can inspire creativity as well as confusion, Nyx and you should be old friends as She is Lady Night in Greek Mythology. Persephone is hardly a ';dark'; Goddess as she is the merciful Queen of the Underworld. Oya is a being associated with the oceans and Baron Samedi is VERY involved in issues of justice.





I am very dedicated to my Gods, but Maman Brigitte and Persephone get along as well as Sekhmet and Hera -- so my Gods have never objected.
I've never heard of this brand before, but I would be more inclined to check out a perfume because of its name.





I only wish we could get them downunder :( I'd enjoy telling people that my perfume is the sacred whore of babylon, just for the shock value.
Oh my goodness, I have a Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab addiction that probably really screams for an intervention.





Since we are talking about them, they could name a scent ';dirty nasty whore'; (they may have one called that) and I would buy it, wear it, and tell everyone what the name is if it smelled good.





I'm not offended by anything they do except when they discontinue good stuff. I have a stash of one called Midnight Kiss because it was a limited edition. I've tried some just on name alone (like Kali). I like what they do, and their scents are magnificent... for some reason all my favorites come out of Diabolus and Carnaval Diabolique.





Edit - I just caught your additional detail.. see, that's a reason to wear a scent in my opinion. I wear some of the ones from the deadly sin line... those perfumes wouldn't be nearly as much fun without the names.

Okay so I was working today and this woman came in and I could smell the fragrance she was wearing and I liked it a lot. So I asked her what it was and she replied with a very thick accent. It sounded something like ';Izamayarki.'; I asked again and she repeated it and I was like, ';Oh, okay!'; Like I knew what she was talking about. But I really have no idea and I really really liked the smell of it so someone please help me!

PS: That's a pretty good site to buy perfume from. I've bought from there a few times. If you can get a ';tester'; bottle, it's a lot cheaper. Only difference between that and a regular bottle, doesn't come with the box.I need to know the name of this perfume?

A perfume named tattoo?

i saw a perfume and i can not remember for the life of me who makes it. all i remember is that the name of it is either tattoo or tattooed and it comes in a rectangular box that has tattoo designs on it (box may also be pink cant remember). also i dont really remember but the bottle itself may be clea and the liquid may be pink again i am not so sure about this. and finally no it is not an Ed Hardy perfume i already saw those and it looked nothing like what i am describing in terms of packaging. any input and or images would be great. thanks.A perfume named tattoo?

There's one called Woody that has a lot of vanilla in it, one called Hot that has some vanilla in it and one called Vanilla which obviously has a lot of vanilla in it.
